Contributing to the DMC
Newsletter
Needed:
- Short descriptions of instructional "tricks" ("How I presented
'simplifying radicals' so it made sense to everybody!"
- Brief summaries of other sources ("The latest NEAP results show that
...")
- Networking information ("If you are interested in MAA activities,
here is some information")
- Problems needing solutions and ideas ("My class is having trouble
dealing with the domain of exponential functions ...")
Requirements:
- AMATYC members can submit items (do not need to be member of the DMC,
though that would be nice)
- All items should be short and clear; most items would be under 250
words.
- Newsletters are usually seen as web pages; you can use graphics and
symbols, but remember how the reader will see them.
- Send items to the Newsletter Editor (currently the DMC Chair, Jack
Rotman)
